Considering a move to Idaho?  There are many reasons people move to Idaho. I have been told that a low crime rate, family atmosphere, schools, outdoor activities, and the people of Idaho are just a few of the reasons people choose Idaho. My hometown of Caldwell is located approximately 30 miles west of Boise, our capital.  I can drive the 30 minutes to Boise to see a sporting event, opera, arts in the park, float, etc.  I can drive 20 minutes to the south and be in Owyhee County which is Idaho’s 2nd largest county and offers fishing, 4-wheeling, camping, site seeing and much more.  I can drive less than an hour to the north and be in kayak and float trip country.  I can also find wonderful fishing holes and great camping sites there as well.

Home prices, taxes, and utility costs are some of the most competitive in the country here in Idaho.  You will find states that offer higher pay but the real reason people move to Idaho isn’t always calculated in dollars and cents. The quality of life is something you cannot put a price on.  You simply need to see it for yourself.
